2024 Education Impact Report Released
Newly released report chronicles innovative programs and partnerships that bring Smithsonian learning to communities across the United States
Mark Mills is Director of Education Outreach and Advancement in the Smithsonian’s Office of the Under Secretary for Education. Over the past 25+ years, Mark has served in progressive advancement roles in major museums including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute, Barnes Foundation, High Museum of Art and the Phillips Collection working to secure philanthropic support and deepen personal engagement. He holds a B.A in Public Communications and Literature and his Masters in Arts Administration from American University, Washington, D.C.. He is a graduate of the Getty Leadership Institute and served on the American Alliance of Museums’ Development and Membership Board. He also previously taught at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts in their Museum Communications Master’s program.
