Martha Ball

Martha Ball has so enjoyed serving as the Advancement Intern for Smithsonian Libraries and Archives during the Summer of 2021. During this time she has focused on building advocates, or supporters and donors engaged in the impact of the Libraries and Archives’ mission, through cultivation and stewardship projects. Developing and executing the campaign for the Stewards of the Hungerford Deed opportunity has been a highlight. Martha is currently pursuing her M.S. in Library and Information Science at Simmons University, where she is concentrating in Archives Management. She holds a B.A. in History and Art History from The George Washington University. Martha’s internship was through the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives’ 50th Anniversary Internship program, with funding provided by the Secretary of the Smithsonian and the Smithsonian National Board.
