Wild Mares Wait for Warm Weather to Give Birth in This Royal Forest

Proclaimed a royal forest by King William the Conqueror, New Forest National Park in Southern England is home to wild mares. Each winter they band together to survive the cold. This year, many of them are expecting spring foals–with chances of an early thaw slim, the foals will be born in the winter's icy depths.
