New Plymouth is five minutes from the sea, forty minutes from a mountain which is now covered in snow and it has a park of 130 acres where there is native bush, a zoo for children (rabbits, otters etc) and a large amphitheater where there are national outdoor concerts. It has always been isolated and so the people have a very strong community spirit. We have a bank where the profits go back into the community to fund over six hundred charities.
