Melissa Betters

Melissa Betters is a Peter Buck postdoctoral fellow at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Her research focuses on the discovery, evolution and biogeography of deep-sea gastropod species. She earned her Ph.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia and her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Florida State University. When not conducting research, Melissa enjoys drawing, dancing and spending time in nature.
