Paul Gardullo

Paul Gardullo is an historian and a curator at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. He directs NMAAHC’s Center for the Study of Global Slavery. He curated the inaugural exhibition “The Power of Place” that contains the museum’s exhibition on the Tulsa Race Massacre.

From May 31 through June 1, 1921, white mobs murdered scores of African Americans and ransacked, razed and burned homes, businesses and churches in Tulsa's Black community of Greenwood.
