Nebula Bubbles
The Hubble Space Telescope took this image of NGC 1501, nicknamed the Oyster Nebula for its “bright pearl” in the center — a variable star. Located about 5,000 light years away, the nebula has a “bumpy and bubbly shape,” which astronomers determined through 3D modeling.
