Friday, November 27: Attic Sale and Foodways of the Americas

Attic Sale: That's right, it's black Friday once again. For those of you wishing to avoid the rough-and-tumble shopping environment of your local , come on out to the Freer, which is offering its Asia-themed gift shop goodies—from CDs to scarves—at reduced prices. Freer, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.

But if you're like me and madcap consumerism fails to put you in the holiday mood, swing by the American Indian Museum where you can celebrate America's unique foods in this three-day festival. Learn about the trade routes that helped form our unique culinary culture and enjoy lots of hands on activities. This event repeats November 28 and 29. American Indian Museum, 10:30 AM-4:30 PM.
