Stephen Fried is an award-winning journalist and historian, and a best-selling author who teaches at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. His next book, for Crown, is Dr. Rush, a biography of Dr. Benjamin Rush, who signed the Declaration of Independence and went on to become the founding father of American medicine and mental health care.
