Jonathan M. Katz has covered national and international affairs for several publications. He was the chief Associated Press correspondent in Haiti when the January 10, 2010, earthquake devastated the nation, and that fall he revealed that United Nations peacekeepers had caused the ensuing cholera epidemic there. He is the author of the book The Big Truck that Went By: How the World Came to Save Haiti and Left Behind a Disaster.
