Cynthia Vidaurri

Cynthia Vidaurri, Folklorist at the National Museum of American Indian and the National Museum of African American History and Culture, has worked to document, represent, and preserve traditional culture. She has conducted research in the U.S. Southwest, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia. She has followed the evolution of day of the dead traditions for more than 25 years.

Theatergoers will find Coco to be a powerfully communicated story about the importance of family, community, a sense of belonging, tradition and remembrance.
