For over two decades the Wright Museum has educated, entertained and inspired visitors with the story of the WWII-era Americans often called “the greatest generation”. Unique among traditional WWII museums, however, the Wright’s nationally-recognized collection contains 14,000 objects and memorabilia from both the home front and the battle field.

Enjoy our authentic and engaging displays that include a “Time Tunnel” where you stroll through the America home front during the years 1939-1945 ; and a gallery filled with fully-operational military vehicles including a plane, motorcycles and a Pershing tank that survived the battle at Remagen.

Experience the past, and be inspired by a nation united.

Let Me By Myself: The Life Story of Anne Frank

Using large-size pictures, Let Me Be Myself shows the story of Anne Frank from her birth in 1929 to her death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Panels also contain images and text about the world around Anne Frank, including the rise of Hitler, the persecution of the Jews, and the Second World War.

While the Anne Frank Story is one that all ages should know, it is essential that young people are aware of her story because it speaks to so many societal issues that unfortunately remain pertinent today. With that in mind, Let Me Be Myself also is created to relate the stories of young people today.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Anne Frank Center USA and was developed by the Anne Frank House.

This exhibit made possible by the generous support from Service Credit Union, Ballentine Family Charitable Fund and Eastern Propane and Oil.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
