Sarah Mallette, M.S.

Sarah Mallette completed her Masters of Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington studying growth in bottlenose dolphin. She serves on the U.S. Delegation to the International Whaling Commission and is a Ph.D. candidate at George Mason University investigating how climate change and increasing ocean temperatures are shifting cetacean (dolphin, whale and porpoise) distributions. The results of this study will be used to inform conservation and management. This curriculum is based on work Mallette conducted as a Smithsonian Institution Graduate Fellow in the Fisheries Conservation Lab at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center.
