Tom Peterson

Tom Peterson flew Lockheed C-130s and C-141s in the U.S. Air Force before joining the 58th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron in 1967, where he flew the RB-57F and B-57C until leaving active duty in 1969.

Able to loiter above 60,000 feet, the General Dynamics RB-57F Canberra was ideal for high-altitude scientific observation and capable of carrying a 700-pound payload 3,000 miles.
