Wrapped

I have captured the moment a young man wrapped a Sri Lankan stupa in cloth. Here, we are given an insight into the buddhist festival called Poya day, in which communities travel from distant villages to conduct sacred rituals and pilgrimages. I find this photograph particularly powerful as the action of one individual reveals the richness of culture, architecture and tradition.
