Wooden architecture of the Russian outback
In small Russian settlements you can still find samples of wooden architecture, which are many centuries old. On the high bank of the Volga lies the town of Plyos, where Isaac Levitan drew his paintings. He was getting inspiration from the surrounding landscapes that have survived to this day. The Resurrection Church is one of his favorites in these lands.
