The Tunnel

This photo was taken inside Stump House Tunnel located just outside of Walhalla SC. Stump House Tunnel dates back to 1852, When the Blue Ridge Railroad attempted to connect Charleston SC to Knoxville TN. The tunnel goes back 1617 feet. Worked stopped due to a lack of funds.
