'The Travelling Moai' at Ahu Tongariki

Right next to Ahu Tongariki, the largest ceremonial platform on Rapa Nui, is the ‘Travelling Moai’. This statue was sent to Japan to thank them for their efforts in helping repair Tongariki after a damaging Tsunami. The moai toured throughout Japan before returning home.
