The red flowers and its Venetian gondolier
For many tourists, hiring a gondola in Venice is a well-known thing to do; the stripe- shirted gondoliers put on quite the theatrics singing Italian songs and rowing along the canals. It is quite the show and near themed park-like. You almost forget that it isn't a show and the gondoliers aren't hired characters.
I took this photo because I found the gondolier showing a particularly 'human' side to his day; that after a morning of work rowing tourists that it was his time to chill out and relax in the afternoon sun. Enjoying the city in a distinctive Venetian style; foot up on a boat, moored at the dock.
