The Morning Routine in Conghua
Every morning on my way through the village to the market, I would pass by this alley when all the children would be making their way to school. What really caught my attention was the brightly dressed children in a backdrop of muted, decaying and even abandoned buildings under a smoggy sky. What this shot represents to me is the dichotomy between the families bright hopes for their children and the despondent surroundings of their village.
