The embraced village

This is Wai Loi Tsuen in Hong Kong. It is one of the very few rural settlements having retained its original moat which looks like a horseshoe from a bird's-eye view. Trees are planted along the moat to embrace the densely packed village houses, making the village a pleasant settlement.
