THE CRANE

I climbed the tallest crane in the Beverly Hills area in Los Angeles to capture this image. I wanted to encapsulate the enormity of this city - as a European who studies there, it is still overwhelming after two years. It is so wide and spread out, a concept alien for someone used to population density and walking everywhere. I tried to communicate this feeling through the crane jutting out into the distance, replicating the way in which the city seems to stretch forever.
