A fisherman in a luzzu, a traditional Maltese fishing boat, painted brightly and especially with a pair of eyes, the 'Eye of Horus', said to protect from the dangers of the sea. As this lasting Phoenician custom still finds its way into contemporary life, one can see a larger, modern, motorised boat dwarfing the luzzu in the background.
