Team Roping: Header and Heeler in Sync
This photo is a beautiful example of the famous sport of rodeo. Team roping has been a long going tradition that is passed from generation to generation. The fast paced sport is something many find difficult seeing as your on a twelve hundred pound beast that is barreling full speed after a two hundred pound steer while swinging a rope, and having a small target to aim at. This photo gives a good example of how this sport works. See the header (one at the head) looks back as he wraps his rope around the saddle horn with his horse dragging the steer, while the heeler lets his horse work while he takes his shot at the hind legs. All of this happens in a matter of seven seconds or less. The thrill of the sport is worth it.
