Statue of Freedom silhouetted by the full moon

I had to wait 1.5 years to take this photo. A full moon low over the capitol building happens just twice a year. If it is cloudy on that evening the desired shot is impossible. Finally on October 24, 2018 I had my chance to take this photo. This photo includes exposure blending as either the moon is over exposed or the capitol is under exposed. Our eyes adjust to these differences in intensity but the camera cannot collect that range in one photo.
