Stairs in el barrio

I took this photo while in the neighborhood/barrio that Pablo Escobar built for poor in Medellin, Colombia. I saw a man going up the steps and remember thinking how symbolic the stairs were, and how maybe they led to work and a better life, and decided to snap the photo. The flowers at the bottom of the stairs also inspired me; the beauty that there was, amongst the poverty.
