Ships Waiting to Enter the Panama Canal

On both ends of the Panama Canal, one can see massive ships waiting out in the deeper ocean to get clearance to pass through the canal. Depending on things such as speed of other ships passing, cargo, and payment, ships can wait anywhere from hours to days to be able to go through.
