Riding a horse up to the crater of Ta'al Volcano in the Philippines.

As we drove through the streets of Batangas in the Philippines, we saw an opening in the trees and a quick view of the island of Ta'al caught our eye. Although we didn't plan on going there we decided we had to! After a very long drive down to the boat port, a boat ride to Ta'al, and some negotiating with the locals who were very friendly, we started our journey up the volcano, horseback, with a Ta'al native guiding us. I was in awe of not only the view and the experience, but of the stories told my the local who helped guide my horse.
