Moichara: The Cattle Racing Festival

Every year, cattle racing is organized at Gocharan, some 40km from Kolkata. Bulls race each other in flooded paddy fields. Witnessing and photographing that is exciting and sets your pulse racing, an experience one has to live to understand. This photo is a nod to the many lesser known customs of Bengal, and to the monsoons we know and love.
