After spending several months working in India off-and-on, I was grateful to finally make it to this iconic site. The Taj Mahal attracts up to 8 million visitors per year, a great many coming from outside the country -- so popular, in fact, that the Archeological Survey of India began instituting daily visitor limits in early 2018.
