Lantern of the Dead

I was visiting Natzweiler-Struthof Concentration Camp with my travel companions when I spotted this sign. I thought it made for a good picture. It turns out it is actually really heart breaking. It reads, "LANTERN OF THE DEAD here were spread on the orders of the Nazi leader Natzweiler-Struthof Concentration Camp ashes of missing - CREMATED depores the crematory oven." It is hard to imagine that in a place so beautiful at one point there was so much pain and evil.
