Kiwanja

Dusty road connecting Goma to Kiwanja. Overloaded motorbikes cross the 70km that separates the two cities. It takes an average of four hours and only 4x4 vehicles get through the bumpy terrain. Less than five years ago, the road that cuts the southern portion of Virunga National Park was extremely insecure. The area has now been pacified.
