In this photograph, Kodava men from the bride's family, dressed in their traditional attire , proceed to welcome the bridegroom and his relatives. They are carrying a coconut, betel leaves in the wicker basket. These are auspicious symbols. The Kodavas are known for their prowess in martial arts and sports.
