Taken on a short boatride back to the mainland from Arronmore Island in Co. Donegal, Ireland, I was drawn to the classic circular windows of the ship. The frame within a frame, aswell as the deep dark blues and the near black of the interior, gives a sense of claustrophobia which is something I often feel on boats. I found the silhouette of the island to be very interesting and rugged, so I decided to frame it in the middle as my subject. My main goal with this photo was the capture a mood of mystery, dread and longing.
