14th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
The mist and fog were coming in hot for this Twin Peaks sunsets in San Francisco - only a few minutes left before they consumed the sun. Perhaps ironically, my fogged up lens actually diffused the light significantly enough to make for this glimmering composition that I knew upon pressing the shutter would be a stunning realization of famed West Coast golden hour glow.
