End of the Roman Aqueduct in Evora, Portugal

Evora, Portugal is on a hill. The Roman Aqueduct crosses the road at the base of the city wall about 10 meters above the road. But the aqueduct has to end somewhere. The ground rises and the aqueduct, now only 2.5 meters above the ground, enters this building, but it does not leave.
