Earthquake memorial

I went to Mendoza, Argentina and found the Museo Fundacional, which houses remains of a devastating earthquake that occurred in 1861. The town was mostly destroyed. I found this image to be really evocative and sad, and it brought home the reality of these types of disasters in a way I'd never seen.
