Eagle Hunter

Kazakh eagle hunters capture the birds in their nest and start training them immediately. They become reliable hunting bird when they reach 2 years old. They can capture rabbit, fox and other small animals in the winter when the temperature drops to -40. The region inhabited by the Kazakh nomads, Bayaan Olgii, is nestled in the Altai Mountains bordering China, Kazakstan and Russia. This was the Eagle Festival taken place in Sep. 2016
