Dun Hallin, a prehistoric ruin on the Isle of Skye
The image shows the remains of a broch, an iron age fortified tower. They are found all over the Scottish west coast and the Hebrides and most are just a heap of stones today. Dun Hallin is one of the most intact examples on the Isle of Skye. Its outer walls still reach a height of about three yards and from its hilltop location it commands great views of the surrounding slopes and the Atlantic ocean.
