While I spent a month in Uganda volunteering at a school, I spent a great deal of time in the local village wandering around and getting to know the families. Despite having no running water or electricity, I found these kids to look super stylish, almost like you could pull them out of their environment, stick them in a trendy neighborhood in Brooklyn and they would fit. It was an interesting juxtaposition. I enjoyed the brightly colored clothing. Everything was just so vibrant and beautiful.
