Desolation

As I was driving through the Scottish Highlands and the Northern areas of Scotland I noticed how desolate the entire area is. Houses are far and few in between; you rarely see another car on the road, and other people are rare. As I was driving I saw the road in front of me - this stark, desolate, scene...the road stretching out for miles in front of me....the low stormy clouds....the light dusting of snow.....nothing but pure desolation.
