Coconut Game

Janmasthami is celebrated every year marking the birth date of Lord Krishna. In some rural areas of West Bengal,’Narkel Khela ’ (Coconut game) is very popular on the day after Janmashtami. Most of the families of the village arrange the Narkel khela on that day. First of all ,on the day of Janmashtami ,the particular household family who arrange this game ,take the coconut (with which the game is to be played) and place it near the Tulsi plant, which is worshipped by the Hindu families and all the children of the village are invited to come and play the game on the next day.
