City of light
This photo has been taken in Singapore, more precisely in the Jubilee Bridge. This bridge links the Merlion Park to the waterfront promenade.
The Merlion is the Singapore’s national icon, with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. Its head represents Singapore’s original name, Singapura, or ‘lion city’ in Malay. The body symbolises Singapore's humble beginnings as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, meaning 'sea town' in Old Javanese.
In the background we can see the Central Business District, with its tall buildings.
