13th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
Canada Aurora

I had just cycled up a huge mountain for a large part of my day, arriving at Summit Lake just as it was getting dark. The clouds had cleared, leaving the potential for catching another Northern Lights show. After I set up camp and was about to tuck into a bowl of cereal, the sky started moving. Soon, greens and pinks filled the whole sky, dancing and swirling as if music was playing. Incredible!
