Burano is a tiny little island close to Venice, in Italy. It is a very small island with few inhabitants. What makes it unique are its small coloured houses around the channels very popular with tourists. One cool fact is that the colours of the houses follow a specific system originating from the golden age of its development. So if you live there and wish to paint your house, you must file a request to the government that will tell you which colours you can choose from.
