‘Beauty’, according to Longinus, relates to something that provides the potentiality to reach the sublimity through the nourishment of our senses. Those sublime moments in our regular mundane schedule allow us to breathe a bit of life. The boy with its little hands creates a world in front of this innocent bird who has seen the world only from the cage. Love and friendship has no language, and perhaps thus, the bonding between the bird and the boy has successfully surpassed the limitation of definition of ‘beauty’. The boy tries to frighten the bird with his gestures and the bird with its startled eyes looks so fondly towards those movements. This little but heart touching scene creates an aesthetic feeling to see how beautiful can be a bonding between a bird and a kid. Such innocence and love is rare in this bourgeois world. Where capitalism is engulfing us, this beautiful sight gives us that pleasure which we cannot find among the race of our polluted, corrupted society. The corrupted world is completely unknown to them and perhaps thus they can be the witness of creating such sublime moments within themselves without caring or being unknown about the sick world around. In the world of wars and riots, this sweet and short moment of life enriches the human entity and shows that silly regular episodes can bring supreme paradigm of peacefulness.
