16th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
An Alaskan Indian singing an ancient song of her tribe.

My wife and I went on an Alaskan cruise and one of the inland tours included a trip up into the Denali mountains. There was a native Alaskan Indian there who was explaining to us how her great, great grandfather used to be the Chief in the area and was showing a very old black and white picture of him.
