A young Chinese girl who's mother damanded a picture.
This picture speaks a language which nobody quite understands besides myself, and this young girl's mother. While touring Tiananmen Square, I was the center of attention to many Chinese locals. Not only am I tall for a girl my age, but I also have curly hair that does not exist in China. Many people actually grabbed my hair to feel it, without my acknowledgement. This girl's mother was persistent on getting a picture of her daughter with me. It struck home with me. Girl children in China are a new trend. With the One Child Policy beginning a new era in China of modernization, I realized that this picture had a value behind it. Not only was it a great "selfie" moment, but it serves a purpose in showing two women who will grow up in different worlds; together in order to get a picture together.
