A STEET IN CHEFCHAOUEN, MOROCCO
Chefchaouen, established in 1471 when Moorish and Jewish people fled here to escape the Reconquista of Spain, is Morocco’s blue city. With georgeous blue alleyways and majestic mountains overlooking the characterful town. The color blue is representative of the sky according to Jewish belief but also according to the Islamic culture, happiness and optimism are represented by the color blue.
