Girl Empowerment in India

American volunteers working with Help International teach a workshop to young female orphans in Dattapur, India on how the female body works and demonstrate how to use the reusable pads they made for them. When we travel, we observe a culture but don't necessarily contribute to it; we take. When we sustainably travel, we observe as well as do our part to benefit the local people while we are there, a way of showing appreciation for the privilege of experiencing their beautiful culture; we give.
